Each year for the past 15 years ESTI has included wine in its Christmas gift to clients and staff. This year will be no exception and although summer has barely begun, planning for the Christmas gift is well underway.

A wine selection event was held on June 13th. This event was the culmination of visits to various wineries in the Naramata Bench area of the Okanagan. Overlooking the southern tip of Lake Okanagan, the Naramata Bench has become an increasingly popular part of the Okanagan and the geography and history of the Bench has created a distinct social and agricultural microcosm. A red and a white wine were put forward by each of three wineries and these wines were judged by a panel of 14 ladies who were all connected to ESTI Consulting Services as either partners, staff, relatives or friends. The wines were blind-tasted by the panel and then blind-tasted again when paired with food.

White wine course: humus and fresh vegetables, crab stuffed mushrooms, cracker with brie and pepper jelly, and, garlic seared scallop.

Red wine course: pork slider, port chicken with paprika kabob, chocolate dipped strawberry, and a piece of salted dark chocolate.

The results of the blind-tasting have been tabulated and the ESTI wines for Christmas 2015 have been selected and will be ordered soon. Thank you to the tasting panel for your hard work and support of one of our most important customer appreciation events of the year.
